Het raam van ons appartement op de hoek van de Papenvest en de Dansaertstraat in Brussel is tijdelijk in gebruik als projectiescherm. Op dit vierkante vlak op de derde verdieping projecteren we films, animaties, video's en digitale werken die een relatie leggen tussen onze huiskamer en de bewegingen van de stad. Vanaf 28 april tot en met 18 juni 2005 is elke twee weken op donderdag, vrijdag en zaterdag een nieuwe projectie te zien. La fenêtre de notre appartement, sur le coin du la rue Rempart des Moines et de la Rue Dansaert à Bruxelles, sera temporairement transformée en un écran de projection. Sur cette surface carrée du troisième étage, nous projetterons films, animations, vidéos et oeuvres digitales qui mettent en relation notre living et les mouvements de la ville. À partir du 28 avril jusqu'au 18 juin 2005, une semaine sur deux, une nouvelle projection aura lieu les jeudis, vendredis et samedis. Our apartment window at the corner of Papenvest and the Dansaertstreet in Brussels will be temporarily transformed into a projection screen. On this square surface at the third floor we will screen films, animations, videos and digital works, connecting our living room window to the movement of the city. Every two weeks between April 28 and June 18 2005 we will screen new work on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Cesare Davolio

Cesare Davolio is een Italiaanse kunstenaar die op dit moment woont en werkt in Rotterdam. Als freelancer maakt hij animaties, illustraties en grafisch werk voor drukwerk en digitale omgevingen. Hij studeerde aan het Goldsmiths College for Fine Arts in London en de Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. Met zijn CD-ROM Annunciation die door Mediamatic in Amsterdam werd geproduceerd, won hij de speciale jury prijs op het New Media Festival in Split en nam hij deel aan het World Wide Video Festival in Amsterdam en andere internationale nieuwe media festivals. Cesare Davolio est un artiste italien qui travaille et habite à Rotterdam. Il conçoit des animations, des illustrations et du graphisme pour des impressions ou des oeuvres digitales. Sa formation passe par le Goldsmiths College for Fine Arts à Londre et la Jan van Eyck Academie à Maastricht. Son CD-ROM Annunciation gagne le prix spécial du New Media Festival à Split, et est montré internationalement au World Wide Video Festival à Amsterdam et dans de nombreux festivals nouveaux media. Cesare Davolio is an Italian artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, creating work for the digital and printed medium. Studies include Goldsmiths College Fine Arts London, and Postgraduate Course in Fine Arts Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. With his CD-ROM Annunciation produced by Mediamatic, Amsterdam, he has won a special jury prize from the New Media Festival in Split, and was part of the World Wide Video Festival in Amsterdam as well as participating in New media Festivals internationally. Currently develops animations and graphics as freelancer.

Van't Haar presenteert zijn werk onder de verzamelnaam Cityscripts. Werk van Van 't Haar was ondermeer te zien in Witte de With, Rotterdam en De Appel, Amsterdam. L'artiste Robin van't Haar se passionne pour les règles de jeu et les codes de conduites dans l'espace public. Il traque le spectacle de tous les jours, il observe les mouvements des gens, collectionne et classe des routines qui ne sont jamais discutées ou décrites. Van't Haar a rassemblé ce travail sous le titre Cityscripts, et l'a montré, entre autres, au Witte de With à Rotterdam et à De Appel à Amsterdam. Robin van't Haar is interested in the rules and codes of behaviour in public space. Hij droeg bij aan verschillende publicaties, waaronder Metropolis M, Dot Dot Dot, Camera Austria en Mute. Als deel van de kunstenaarsgroep everything Editorial was hij co-redacteur van everything Magazine en recentelijk droeg hij als redacteur en schrijver deel aan Interlude en Never Odd or Even, twee boekprojecten van Mariana de Castillo Debal, uitgegeven door Revolver, Frankfurt. Zijn films The Circles (2001), Kaplan - an investigation into the illusive figure of George Kaplan in Hitchcock's North by Northwest (2002) en The Blue Studio (2002) zijn filmische essays die met het documentaire genre spelen. tatibrazil's officiële kunstenaarsleven begon als schilder in Rotterdam. Na 10 jaar olieverf, en verleid door het internet, legde ze de kwast even neer in 2002 en is zichzelf met nullen en enen bezig gaan houden. Het boeide enorm en met gaatjes en draden en veel vrouwenwerk is zij zich door het leven gaan klossen. Le vie artistique officielle de tatibrazil a commencé en tant que peintre à Rotterdam. Après 10 ans de peinture à l'huile, et séduite par l'internet, elle a abandonné le pinceau en 2002 et s'est occupée de zéros et de uns. Fascinée par cette toile, elle tisse sa vie de beaucoup de noeuds, de liens et d'oeuvres de femmes. tatibrazil started her official life as an artist as painter in Rotterdam. After 10 years of busying herself with oilpaint, she was seduced by the Internet. She decided to put down her brush temporarily and occupy herself with zeroes and ones. It fascinated her immensely and at this moment she knits herself through life with lots of holes and threads and womenswork.

Femke Snelting

Femke Snelting is één van de drie leden van kunst- en ontwerpcollectief De Geuzen (a foundation for multi-visual research), en betrokken bij het Media Design Programme van het Piet Zwart Instituut, Rotterdam. Haar praktijk richt zich op tactieken voor de toeëigening van plaats en ruimte, archieven als narratieve vorm, vrouwelijke identiteit en cartografie als middel om interesses, gemeenschappen en disciplines met elkaar te verbinden. Femke Snelting est une de trois membres du groupe d'art et de design De Geuzen (fondation de recherche multi-visuelle), et travaille au département de Media Design du Piet Zwart Institute à Rotterdam. Elle développe des tactiques d'appropriation d'espaces, d'archivage comme narration, travaille sur l'identité féminine et la cartographie, comme moyens de conjuguer des intérêts, des communautés et des disciplines. Femke Snelting is one of three members of the art- and design collective De Geuzen (a foundation for multi-visual research) and is engaged in the Media Design Programme at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Her practice is concerned with tactics for appropriating place and space, archiving as narrative form, female identity and cartography as means of joining interests, communities and disciplines.

Peter Westenberg

Peter Westenberg is beeldend kunstenaar en film- en videomaker. Zijn projecten ontstaan uit een interesse voor sociale cartografie, urbane anomalieën, meervoudige identiteiten en fricties tussen wens en werkelijkheid. Zijn werk werd vertoond op tentoonstellingen en festivals waaronder Portobello Filmfestival Londen, PleinOPENair, Impakt, Argos Brussel, Nederlands Filmfestival, Rotterdams Filmfestival en Videoex Zürich. Peter Westenberg est artiste visuel et réalisateur de vidéos et de courtsmétrages. Il s'intéresse à la cartographie sociale, aux anomalies urbaines, aux identités multiples, aux tensions entre le rêve et la réalité. Son travail a été montré lors d'expositions et de festivals tels que le Portobello Flmfestival de Londres, PleinOPENair, Impakt, le Festival Argos, le Festival de film hollandais, le Festival international du film de Rotterdam et Videoex à Zürich. Peter Westenberg is an artist and film- and videomaker.
